Clients may request compositions in any reasonable instrumentation, format, or length, such as:
Large Symphonic Works for Orchestra (Overture, symphony, concerto, mass, requiem, etc.)
Theatre (i.e., Songs/score for full-length musical, Score for straight play, individual songs/musical numbers, etc.)
Small/Mixed Ensembles (i.e., String Quartet, Piano/Vocal Score, String Orchestra, Duos, Trios, etc.)
Choral Ensembles (SATB/Piano, A cappella SATB, SAB, SSA, Choir plus orchestra or mixed instrumentation, etc.)

Joshua Lubben has done extensive work as an orchestrator, with commissions for full orchestra, chamber orchestra, pit/theatre orchestra (10-20 pieces), and more. Most recent formats include:
Chamber orchestra (20-40 players)
Pit/Theatre (8-14 players)
Choral/Sacred Settings (Choir and piano, choir and orchestra, a cappella choir)
Note: Though a pre-existing piano score, lead sheet, or other notated music is preferred as a starting point, orchestrations can also be requested from a recording alone.

In addition to classical/theatre composition, Joshua Lubben is also a prolific songwriter with original songs airing across the country and enjoyed by a growing, international audience. Songs may be requested in a variety of genres, such as folk, jazz, theatre, pop, etc. Clients may request music and lyrics, music to pre-existing lyrics, or a mixture of both depending on need.
